“Lovely relaxing stay. The Bach is very well provisioned with nice decor. Perfect for a couple’s break away. Lots of local information about things to do and very professionally run. Welcoming touches included a vase of lovely daffs and two pieces of chocolate cake! Thank you for a lovely visit!”

“Enjoyed our stay, loved the red cattle, Lincoln Cathedral and Castle worth a visit as was Gibraltar Point for birds. Lovely meal in Magpies in Horncastle for a special occasion. Ella, our granddaughter ate all the brownies!”

“Gosh what a privilege being the first paying guests in The Shamba. We found a spotless cottage, very well equipped in a great rural location. The peace and quiet is relaxing. The cattle a welcome distraction – Coach and Horses pub very reasonable prices. Visited the coast – nearer than you think. Congratulations on a very successful conversion bringing new life to an old building for many people to enjoy.”

“Wendy and John's cottage is gorgeous!!! In a lovely village with great pub and walks, the cottage is a lovingly and very well renovated barn/stables. Welcome cakes were an unexpected fab bonus, on top of the very generous bread/jam/coffee etc that they provided; again totally unexpected. Every facility was available as required, and lots of little luxuries, all for a fab price. As hosts they were kind and available as necessary, check in and out was seamless.”

“Cottages were fantastic, clean and spacious. Facilities were great within the cottages and Wendy was a great host always around if we needed anything. The cottages are in a very quiet surrounding which is great. Local pub is in walking distance. Car is definitely needed if you want to travel to shops, beach and Lincoln. Fantastic trip away!”

“From a farm building to "The Shamba"! We are regular visitors to Bainvalley South and North and watched the building progress. Wendy and John are superb hosts. The cottage is well equipped, tastefully furnished, cosy and warm. The views are superb. The peace and quiet a welcome treat. Love the patio area and French doors. The village is charming, Horncastle’s antique shops a ‘must visit’ and a bonus for us to stay here to visit family nearby. We will return!”

“This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful rural setting, very well appointed with everything from a dishwasher to a patio heater! We chose Hemingby because it was where my mum (95) lived and married and the cottage was a perfect centre for a trip down Memory Lane. The farm setting was ideal – peaceful and relaxing, cows grazing, swifts wheeling – and would be a great starting point for walks and cycle rides in the glorious Lincolnshire Wolds (greatly underrated!).”

“We have had a really lovely stay here visiting our son & partner in Louth for a few days. The cottage was beautiful, spotlessly clean & every amenity we could want. The views & surrounding are great & the cows were good to watch! We did a walk at Ostlers Plantation near Woodhall Spa & lunch at a lovely pub in Woodhall (The Inn at Woodhall Spa). Good walk for dogs in the extreme heat. Also spent the morning on the beach at Anderby Creek - a beautiful beach that is dog friendly all year round - great! A great evening of Tapas at Bar Castilléjar in Louth. Enjoyed sitting on the patio & the board games in the cottage were good fun to play - a nice touch as were the biscuits on arrival A super few days - thank you Wendy. We hope to return!”
