15-minute superhero movie costing £25k is filmed using county locations
SUPERHEROES and a devastating tornado will be swooping through the county as part of the latest offering from some city film-makers.
The Red Dog Film Community Interest Company, which is based in Lincoln, is shooting its latest film, Goodie, in a variety of county locations.
When the Echo visited the site of the superhero movie, the crew were filming near the abandoned RAF hospital behind fire-ravaged Nocton Hall.
Writer and director Sam Wardhan said: "We're basically making an £80,000 production for £25,000. The way we're doing that is through everyone in the cast and crew pulling together.

"Everyone is keen to be involved in this level of professional production.
"We want to show we can produce something really great for not very much and hopefully generate interest in the feature film we're working on. We want to get some known actors involved and some funding.
"We also want people to see that there is a thriving film industry in Lincoln and it is growing."
The 15-minute film focuses on a Lincolnshire family of superheroes who dive into action save the people from a natural disaster.
Unlike other films of the same genre there is no evil villain to combat – just nature and the devastation it can wreak.
The film also deals with loss and grief and explores the impact of death on family members left behind.
Cast and crew are working to put Red Dog and Lincoln on the map as far as the film-making industry is concerned.
County connotations fill the film, with all the family of super heroes all bearing the names of Lincolnshire towns.
The father of the family is Brace, his super-strong wife is Mable and their mind-reading daughter is called Boston.
Boston's twin brother, and the only one without powers, is called Branston.
Mr Wardhan, who is planning for the film to premier at Lincoln's Odeon this winter said: "When I first started, I wanted to create a film industry from scratch.
"The cast and crew of this film have been fantastic, I have run out of superlatives to describe how amazing they have been over the last three months of planning."
The filming will soon move on to a local primary school and a hospital to finish off some of the filming.
Producer Tom Walsh said: "The filming is going really well. The location is fantastic."
Short films from Red Dog writers, directors and producers have been accepted at international film festivals and received critical acclaim.
