A BIRD zoo based in Lincolnshire has been picked as one of the top ten attractions to visit in the region.
The parrot zoo based in Friskney, near Boston, was listed at number two by holiday guide company Frommers.
The firm compiled a guidebook of the best family outings in England, which was then published in the Sunday Telegraph.
Zoo owner Steve Nichols said: "Before you knew it we were inundated with holidaymakers from all over the UK. It makes all the hard work the staff put in worthwhile and shows, although we feel we are a small attraction, we are being recognised nationwide for the work we do and what we offer.
"Over the past week's break, we have had at least 28 families and 120 couples turn up to the zoo and stay in and around the area."
The zoo holds the largest collection of parrots in the UK and also houses the National Parrot Sanctuary Trust.
