There are many cycle routes that take you along pleasant,
tranquil, un-spoilt country lanes, ranging from 9.5 miles
to 25 miles. The routes embrace a variety of scenery, from
rolling farmland and ancient woodlands, to the wild beauty
of the fens.

Battle
of Britain
In World War Two, the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa was
seconded by the RAF and became the Officers Mess for the
famous 617 squadron 'The Dambuster Squadron' that flew many
of the now famous missions from nearby RAF Scampton. A memorial
to commemorate the Squadrons achievements and losses has
been erected in the Royal Square in the centre of Woodhall
Spa (8 miles). The Battle of Britain Memorial flight is
stationed at RAF Coningsby (12 miles), where you can see
the last flying Lancaster in Great Britain. The flight is
also complemented with five flying Spitfires, a Hurricane
and Dakota.
At
East Kirkby (10 miles) is the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage
Centre, The visitor centre and museum is also the home of
the local Archaeology Aviation Recovery Group, they display
many of the finds recovered from organized digs. Also on
display is "Just Jane" a Lancaster that, although
not permitted to fly, from time to time, has taxiing displays
(both daytime and evenings) for the benefit of the public,
these events are well publicised in advance. Why not give

Golf
Woodhall Spa is the National Golf Centre, and headquarters
of the English Golf Union, its two famous championship golf
courses are the Hotchkin and the Bracken (8 miles). Kenwick
